Operation Christmas child

What is Operation Christmas Child?

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. The mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. These boxes will be shipped internationally to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.

Every shoebox gift provides an opportunity for evangelism and discipleship, which leads to the multiplication of new believers and churches around the world.
In 2019 alone...
-Over 10.5 million shoeboxes were collected.
-4.3 million children participated in The Greatest Journey discipleship program.
-2.2 million children who participated in TGJ reported a decision for Christ.
-1236 new churches were planted as a result of the OCC Shoebox Ministry.
